Internship Program


Our 10-week internship program is open to undergraduate students entering into their Junior and Senior year looking to gain hospitality experience prior to graduation.

  • Opportunity to learn the hospitality industry from an operational perspective through hands-on experience at the property level typically in front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage
  • One-on-one coaching from the Talent team
  • Eligibility to earn College internship credit
  • Participation can shorten the length of time in our MIT program upon graduation
  • Lead a community service project for your assigned internship property to serve the local community.

Individual Development Program (IDP)


IDP is designed to engage all levels of on-property employees to promote an understanding of hotel operations from a management and leadership mindset.

  • Open to ALL Hotel Equities associates
  • Self-directed with guidance from General Manager
  • Participants work at their own pace without deadlines
  • Opportunity to complete up to 30+ modules, both leadership and technical based
  • One-on-one coaching from the Talent team
  • Pre-requisite to our Management Development Program

Management Development Program (MDP)


This leadership program is intended for on-property managers, supervisors or graduates of the IDP program.

  • 6 month program aimed at teaching managerial and leadership skills
  • Curriculum based on the experiential learning cycle
  • Webinar sessions and a continuation of the self-directed modules from IDP
  • 1 on 1 Program Coaching calls
  • Monthly Learning Cohort calls
  • Capstone Project: ROI based and presented to the Hotel Equities senior leaders in Alpharetta
  • Intended result:
  • • Promotion into, or further into management
    • Strengthen skills in current role

Leadership Development Program


This class is intended for those with multi-unit responsibilities. With both classroom and self-directed modules available, the curriculum includes many aspects of leadership skills necessary for success at Hotel Equities when leading others. This six-month class is predominantly self-directed, with a coach/mentor who guides participants through the required curricula and culminates with a company team project that benefits Hotel Equities.

Foundations


Foundations is a 2-hour class intended for all new General Managers and Corporate Support Leaders. It focuses on the culture of Hotel Equities and what makes us unique to the industry. Attendees learn about the history of our company and the culture of our organization virtually through the lens of the Founder & Chairman of Hotel Equities, Fred Cerrone.

General Manager Onboarding


At Hotel Equities, we believe that General Managers are the everyday heroes of the hotel industry. Every hero deserves to start a new journey with the resources and support they need to effectively manage their hotel and team. Hotel Equities Road to Onboarding kicks off the onboarding process for newly hired General Managers with a two-and-a-half-day class that takes place at select Hotel Equities host hotels. The goal of the class is to immerse our new GMs into Hotel Equites culture, platforms, and processes in a more focused learning environment, free of day-to-day operational distractors. The HERO journey doesn’t stop after the class ends. it continues through each GM’s first 90 days, as dedicated Talent team members work with them, one-on-one to ensure they have the support and resources needed to be successful.

Director of Sales Onboarding


A self-directed program for each newly hired Director of Sales and/or Sales Manager, this program is led by their respective General Manager and Sales Coach. It includes all tools, materials, and processes required for a new DOS/Sales Manager to succeed with Hotel Equities.

Hotel Equities' Annual Conference


The Annual Hotel Equities Leadership Conference is an annual meeting centered around skill-strengthening sessions for our HR, GM, and DOS leaders. The days spent at this conference create a great opportunity to engage in networking across HE and, provide valuable insight into industry trends and developments to attendees.
