They were able to accommodate me and my two dogs, in the middle of a brutal storm, and did so with obvious pleasure. From the front desk clerk to the gentleman who kept the lobby and entrance area as dry as possible all night, to the maintenance staff working hard to keep the front desk area dry and safe for customers...every single staff person I encountered was personable and helpful. “For the last 2.5 years, I have selected this as my hotel of choice in Macon, Georgia. Through this time, some of the staff have changed, but I am always impressed by some of the employees. Ms. Jackie, the breakfast hostess, always greats everyone with a smile and a 'good morning'. She goes out of her way to make sure all the guests are taken care of. Even when it is almost time to close the breakfast session, she continues to provide the service just as if she had just opened. In some hotels, the service and replenishing of products stops long before breakfast time is over. Some hotels won't make additional coffee, waffle mix, etc. if it is near closing time. This is not true with Ms. Jackie. The service is wonderful, the area is clean, and everyone is taken care of no matter what the time is. Sherri at the front desk does a great job. She knows everyone by name and always speaks. She goes above and beyond to make the stay a quality experience. One day I saw her working in the housekeeping role in the morning and working the front desk in the afternoon. This is a true measure of doing whatever needs to be done to take care of the customer. Mr. Leroy is friendly and helpful. He helps keep things clean and has even let me know when the popcorn is ready in the afternoon. Rachel with maintenance keeps everything going and always responds immediately to any issues I have. Tonya, the GM, sets a standard and jumps in with anything that needs to be done. She makes me feel valued. Jessica has been here since I first started staying. She is friendly, and makes sure the job is done correctly and professionaly. I am changing territories that I service and will not be at this hotel except on rare occaisions now. I will truly miss the people here."--MT
"I wanted to bring to your attention all of the wonderful staff that are working at this hotel. My son and I and several neighbors were in town for a junior team tennis tournament. The hotel was full of kids who were all taking part in this event. Your staff treated both adults and children with respect and were very tolerant while we were rained out. Additionally, the ladies working at the front desk (Sheree & Nancy are two names I specifically recall) were all friendly (wishing the kids luck as they'd leave to play matches and saying 'welcome back' when we would return). They were courteous and, above all, professional. I was also impressed in the morning as the person who monitored breakfast made sure that items were quickly restocked as they ran low. She was also very friendly to both adults and children. And finally, the maintenance staff had to repair the elevator on Saturday, but made a point of apologizing for the inconvenience and assured us they would take care of it promptly (which they did). "The Hampton Inn-Dalton has been a favorite stopping place for our frequent trips between Ohio and Florida. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Our last visit, however, will be memorable for the outstanding effort of your staff in helping us with a difficult situation. Just prior to check-in, one of our cars was involved in a hit and run accident on I-75. We were able to move the car to the hotel, but it was obvious that repair was needed for us to continue our trip. We checked with the front desk to see if anyone could help us locate a local repair facility. We were told that Ken, the maintenance man, probably could suggest a place. Ken not only knew, but after looking at our car, called a dealer to confirm that they could do the repair. Ken suggested that we probably should have an accident report for our insurance company, so he called the Georgia State Patrol who soon had a deputy at the hotel to make a report. Ken then assisted us with moving the car to the dealer and frequently checked with us concerning progress of the repair. Due to more extensive damage than originally thought, repair took longer than expected and required that we change our checkout plans which were handled graciously by your front desk and housekeeping staff. Thanks to the dealer's great effort, we were on our way again with no more than a two-day delay. Your staff expressed concern that the repair cost and extended stay would stress our budget and suggested that for further stays we could use our HHonors points, which we did at the following Hampton Inn. Please express our appreciation to your entire staff. You have a great team which shows caring and service well beyond what is normally expected."--M/M DG

I truly don't have all the words to describe how much we enjoyed the cooperation of your staff when I would call to get information regarding the number of reservations and the special assistance in getting the meeting room location at the Trade Center. I had encounters with at least three different people at your front counter and the maintenance man, and they all displayed a positive attitude toward their work. I said to myself, this is a well-trained staff of people who are sensitive to the customer's needs. If we decide to return to the area next year, we will definitely want to stay at the hotel again."

The room was perfect (it had absolutely everything we asked for and wanted), and the high quality of the breakfasts were delicious. I have to tell you that your staff does the best job I have seen in the many Hamptons we have stayed at in keeping the breakfast area clean and well-stocked throughout the full breakfast period. In addition, I would like to specifically ask you to thank Angie for all of her help while we were there. It started right from the first day when we checked in and amazingly she remembered us from last year, and continued to the very end when we ended up having trouble with our return flight out of Hilton Head and had to return unexpectedly to the hotel for Sunday night. We explained our circumstances to the General Manager who was patient enough to meet with family members to discuss various options and proceeded to go above and beyond the call of duty so we were able to utilize the family reunion discount rate. That's what I call a great Manager who understands how to offer great customer service!"

Hampton Inn - Woodstock
"On September 21, the floods came to Woodstock while I was buying gas for my rental car. Police coned off the area and my two little carry-on bags were still at the hotel. The courageous manager cheerfully assured me she'd look after my bags when I phoned. The hotel then lost power and phone service. I missed my flight as the main artery through Woodstock as well as sections of the Interstate highway remained closed. September 22, the police allowed me to walk from about a mile away to the dark, soggy hotel that had been sparkling clean and bustling with the excellent breakfast service only the day before. Firefighters escorted me inside. 30 hours after she'd gone on duty, Lolandera Spratling, General Manager, greeted me by name! In a dark office, on a high shelf, my bags were in perfect condition. It appeared that Ms. Spratling had evacuated the remaining guests and staff and remained with the property. I don't know what personal sacrifices this caring, heroic lady made, but there was no plumbing, light, water, or food for her for hours. After I thanked her, as I was leaving, she said, 'Come back and stay with us again!' It's true that disasters show what we're made of, and the GM is solid gold."--BS

"My organization has held several meetings at your hotel over the last three years. We have always experienced professionalism in the handling of our events, from the planning stages all the way through to accuracy of the final bill. The meeting rooms are well-appointed and the staff has always provided great service and had the room set up to our specifications. The food and beverages provided in the meeting rooms have consistently been fresh and tasty. The staff is exceptional and are always willing to do what it takes to make their guests and clients satisfied.
