"The hotel has one of the best staffs I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They were able to accommodate me and my two dogs, in the middle of a brutal storm, and did so with obvious pleasure. Every single staff member I came in contact with was unfailingly polite, eager to help me in any way possible and were genuinely happy to be of service. From the front desk clerk to the gentleman who kept the lobby and entrance area as dry as possible all night, to the maintenance staff working hard to keep the front desk area dry and safe for customers...every single staff person I encountered was personable and helpful. "We just returned from our senior trip and stayed at the Comfort Inn. Our stay was very pleasant. I especially want to thank a lady who was at the front desk, Nikida. When we pulled up in the bus to unload the first night, Nikida had everything ready and we were in the rooms in very little time. "Due to a past bad experience with another Courtyard by Marriott location, I had long been opposed to staying in them. However, that has all changed due to the extraordinary performance of the holiday staff. Obviously, your facility is immaculate, but I have never encountered a more hospitable and accommodating staff, particularly Janet & Mekesha. My travel plans were hectic, as well as my hours, but no matter what time of day/evening, those two assisted in any way possible. I simply wanted to commend you and your staff on winning a new and now loyal Courtyard by Marriott guest. “For the last 2.5 years, I have selected this as my hotel of choice in Macon, Georgia. Through this time, some of the staff have changed, but I am always impressed by some of the employees. Ms. Jackie, the breakfast hostess, always greats everyone with a smile and a 'good morning'. She goes out of her way to make sure all the guests are taken care of. Even when it is almost time to close the breakfast session, she continues to provide the service just as if she had just opened. In some hotels, the service and replenishing of products stops long before breakfast time is over. Some hotels won't make additional coffee, waffle mix, etc. if it is near closing time. This is not true with Ms. Jackie. The service is wonderful, the area is clean, and everyone is taken care of no matter what the time is. Sherri at the front desk does a great job. She knows everyone by name and always speaks. She goes above and beyond to make the stay a quality experience. One day I saw her working in the housekeeping role in the morning and working the front desk in the afternoon. This is a true measure of doing whatever needs to be done to take care of the customer. Mr. Leroy is friendly and helpful. He helps keep things clean and has even let me know when the popcorn is ready in the afternoon. Rachel with maintenance keeps everything going and always responds immediately to any issues I have. Tonya, the GM, sets a standard and jumps in with anything that needs to be done. She makes me feel valued. Jessica has been here since I first started staying. She is friendly, and makes sure the job is done correctly and professionaly. I am changing territories that I service and will not be at this hotel except on rare occaisions now. I will truly miss the people here."--MT

"I wanted to bring to your attention all of the wonderful staff that are working at this hotel. My son and I and several neighbors were in town for a junior team tennis tournament. The hotel was full of kids who were all taking part in this event. Your staff treated both adults and children with respect and were very tolerant while we were rained out. Additionally, the ladies working at the front desk (Sheree & Nancy are two names I specifically recall) were all friendly (wishing the kids luck as they'd leave to play matches and saying 'welcome back' when we would return).  They were courteous and, above all, professional. I was also impressed in the morning as the person who monitored breakfast made sure that items were quickly restocked as they ran low. She was also very friendly to both adults and children. And finally, the maintenance staff had to repair the elevator on Saturday, but made a point of apologizing for the inconvenience and assured us they would take care of it promptly (which they did). "I have stayed at your facility for years, but last week the service transcended even my greatest expectations. One of your colleagues went beyond good service to that of excellence as she helped me prepare for a major presentation when I was simply crunched for time. The presentation went very well, but without the work with which she assisted me, it would not have turned out that way! Her customer service attitude is remarkable and her connectability is noteworthy. I appreciate her greatly and you are lucky to have her as an employee."

Hampton Inn - Dalton
"The Hampton Inn-Dalton has been a favorite stopping place for our frequent trips between Ohio and Florida. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Our last visit, however, will be memorable for the outstanding effort of your staff in helping us with a difficult situation. Just prior to check-in, one of our cars was involved in a hit and run accident on I-75. We were able to move the car to the hotel, but it was obvious that repair was needed for us to continue our trip. We checked with the front desk to see if anyone could help us locate a local repair facility. We were told that Ken, the maintenance man, probably could suggest a place. Ken not only knew, but after looking at our car, called a dealer to confirm that they could do the repair. Ken suggested that we probably should have an accident report for our insurance company, so he called the Georgia State Patrol who soon had a deputy at the hotel to make a report. Ken then assisted us with moving the car to the dealer and frequently checked with us concerning progress of the repair. Due to more extensive damage than originally thought, repair took longer than expected and required that we change our checkout plans which were handled graciously by your front desk and housekeeping staff. Thanks to the dealer's great effort, we were on our way again with no more than a two-day delay. Your staff expressed concern that the repair cost and extended stay would stress our budget and suggested that for further stays we could use our HHonors points, which we did at the following Hampton Inn. Please express our appreciation to your entire staff. You have a great team which shows caring and service well beyond what is normally expected."--M/M DG

I truly don't have all the words to describe how much we enjoyed the cooperation of your staff when I would call to get information regarding the number of reservations and the special assistance in getting the meeting room location at the Trade Center. I had encounters with at least three different people at your front counter and the maintenance man, and they all displayed a positive attitude toward their work. I said to myself, this is a well-trained staff of people who are sensitive to the customer's needs. If we decide to return to the area next year, we will definitely want to stay at the hotel again."

She had a new camera and money in her purse, both of which were still there. "I wanted to let you know what a wonderful two weeks we had at the Hampton Inn-Hilton Head Island...the days seemed to fly by. The room was perfect (it had absolutely everything we asked for and wanted), and the high quality of the breakfasts were delicious. I have to tell you that your staff does the best job I have seen in the many Hamptons we have stayed at in keeping the breakfast area clean and well-stocked throughout the full breakfast period. In addition, I would like to specifically ask you to thank Angie for all of her help while we were there. It started right from the first day when we checked in and amazingly she remembered us from last year, and continued to the very end when we ended up having trouble with our return flight out of Hilton Head and had to return unexpectedly to the hotel for Sunday night. I had called from the airport to make sure that a room was available and when we got there, everything was ready. We had an absolutely wonderful vacation at Hilton Head -- great weather, fun golf, and delicious dinners and we are already looking forward to coming back next Spring!"--BW

"Your venue hosted a training event conducted by the Georgia Department of Labor's Business Enterprise Program. The location and satff were excellent for this occasion. There were numerous visually challeneged individuals there in training and they were impressed with the friendly atmosphere, accommodations, and support your staff provided. Michelle, Krystal, and Tim were at the top of that list. They went beyond the call of their daily job duties to anticipate the needs of this group and were there with assistance when needed. In this world today, it's a pleasure to know that there are still businesses that care and practice excellent customer service. So many businesses have lost the customer focus or just do not care. This is not the first time your property has hosted one of our events and I felt like it was important to let you know how much we appreciated excellent service. Thanks for your support. "We had late check-in (around 1:30 a.m.) due to road construction and incorrect MapQuest directions. Some of our family members had existing reservations, but others needed to make reservations. We explained our circumstances to the General Manager who was patient enough to meet with family members to discuss various options and proceeded to go above and beyond the call of duty so we were able to utilize the family reunion discount rate. That's what I call a great Manager who understands how to offer great customer service!"

"This is to give all the employees a compliment on how great they made our stay. You just don't get courtesy like that too often. One of the front desk staff, Kimberly, was one of the nicest people that we ever met anywhere. Kimberly was so understanding to our needs, especially concerning my Mom with her handicap situation. She tried to do everything possible for us to take care of my Mom and I just wanted to say she is a great ASSET to Hampton Inn and is a very gracious representative for them. Hampton Inn - Woodstock
"On September 21, the floods came to Woodstock while I was buying gas for my rental car. Police coned off the area and my two little carry-on bags were still at the hotel. The courageous manager cheerfully assured me she'd look after my bags when I phoned. The hotel then lost power and phone service. I missed my flight as the main artery through Woodstock as well as sections of the Interstate highway remained closed. September 22, the police allowed me to walk from about a mile away to the dark, soggy hotel that had been sparkling clean and bustling with the excellent breakfast service only the day before. Firefighters escorted me inside. 30 hours after she'd gone on duty, Lolandera Spratling, General Manager, greeted me by name! In a dark office, on a high shelf, my bags were in perfect condition. It appeared that Ms. Spratling had evacuated the remaining guests and staff and remained with the property. I don't know what personal sacrifices this caring, heroic lady made, but there was no plumbing, light, water, or food for her for hours. After I thanked her, as I was leaving, she said, 'Come back and stay with us again!' It's true that disasters show what we're made of, and the GM is solid gold."--BS

"My husband and I recently stayed in your hotel twice while on vacation to Florida. We stayed the second night because we were so impressed the first night. We always stay in Hampton Inns when we travel and, although we don't travel often (3 or 4 times a year), we want to be comfortable and stay in a clean room and always find Hampton Inns meet our standards. From the minute we walked in, the staff was great, friendly, professional, and helpful. We had the pleasure of talking with other staff memebers during our stay and everyone was friendly and professional. We were so impressed with your facility. "I arrived at your hotel not feeling well. By 10 p.m., I had a raging fever and a cough. It's a scary prospect beling alone in a city where you know no one and you're sick in a hotel room. I called the front desk and asked Candace if there was anyone on staff who could run out and get me some Bufferin. When she got off at 11 p.m., she did it herself. I gave her a tip, but she didn't ask for one; she did it because it needed to be done. I want to commend her for going the extra distance for a client. That kind of action makes a customer very grateful toward a particular hotel chain. I was also very impressed with the hotel's amenities and comforts: soft pillows, a pool and a jacuzzi (which I sat in to allay 7 hours of driving from Philadelphia on my way to Palm Beach), very clean rooms and hallways, a comfortable mattress, and quiet. When I return in March, I will be looking for Hiltons or Hampton Inns for my night of comfort."--FT

"I stayed at your hotel this weekend and I was so impressed with everyone there that I had to make sure I took the time to tell you what a great team you have! I won a one-night stay at your hotel as a front desk associate for the SpringHill Suites at Seaworld. It was coming close to expiring, so my husband and I decided to come and stay for a couple of days just to spend some time at the beach. When we checked in, we were greeted by Richard who treated us so wonderfully we were generally 'wowed'. He had a great personality and made us feel like he had know us for years. When we went up to the room, it was spotless and smelled great! I even asked the housekeeper the next morning what he used in the room to make it smell so nice (and I'm ordering that scent right away to use in our hotel). The next morning breakfast was beautiful! The ladies who took care of breakfast were very nice, took care of us non-stop, and always kept the breakfast looking neat and clean. Wow! The next evening we came back very late and there was Richard, ready to get me hot water to make tea. He talked to us for awhile, and said his goodbyes since he would not be working again until after we checked out. Richard will stand out in our minds as making our stay enjoyable. The next day, Bradley was at the front desk and she was also very pleasant and helpful. Your team did such a great job and made everything seem effortless (even though I know it is not). Thank you to everyone for making just a short little stay such a memorable one. We will definitely be back!"--TB

"What a wonderful staff you have at this hotel. They went out of their way to make my wife and I, our married children and their families, our relatives, and friends feel welcome and comfortable as your guests. We had over 20 rooms booked to accommodate us to celebrate our son's wedding. We had exclusive access to the conference room which we used as a reception/hospitality room for all of our party which permitted everyone to stay together and enjoy the camaraderie of people not seen in months, if not years, from CA, CT, MA, PA, TN, AL, LA, FL and elsewhere. There was never a time when one of us had a need that wasn't solved immediately with courtesy and a smile. The several managers on duty helped with plane reservations, money exchanges, room changes, and even sending a vehicle to pick up the new bride and groom (who smartly stayed on the beach and away from all of us partiers) the morning after the wedding so they could share more time before we all had to depart. Richard, Colleen, and Kyle were involved in all of those transactions -- even cleaning the hospitality room when housekeepers were busy in other areas of the facility. Kenny and Brenda also responded to clean-up duty and furniture arranging when we needed help. I could go on, but by now you've gotten the message. It was a wonderful experience. Every single one of the wedding guests praised us for picking such a neat, clean, inexpensive, and beautiful place to serve as the weekend's center."--HP

"Recently, I stayed for the first time at your hotel for two nights. I thought the place was great and the people splendid, but I had no idea just how good the personnel are. I discovered at the airport that I had left my power cord for my laptop in the room. You can guess the turmoil that this would put a business traveler in. I had two hours of battery total. I would be out of business until I could find a replacement, and it was the weekend. I called the hotel from the airport and the wonderful night clerk, whose name escapes me, went to my room and found the cord. She left a note for the daytime staff regarding the problem. That very day, I was sent an e-mail saying the cord would be in the mail. I am so impressed. If only all businesses had this can-do service attitude, we would be a terrific society indeed. I cannot compliment you and Marriott enough for entrusting such a valuable property and your good name to the TownePlace Suites' team. Marriott just moved to the front of my 'preferred places to stay' list. I will be talking this up for a long time with friends, business associates, and clients."

"I had to make some very last minute reservations for some friends who were traveling in the U.S. from overseas. I called the hotel directly and spoke to a very pleasant lady. She gave me a rate and I booked the room for my friends. I explained that they would arrive very late (approximately 3 a.m.) with their 5-year-old son and would be very tired after driving unexpectedly from Orlando. I did mention that they had a very trying day and would just want to get in bed and sleep. Well, to my amazement and my friend's as well, when they arrived in the room the sofa bed was pulled out for my friend's son with a handwritten note wishing him sweet dreams with his cushy Teddy bear that she had left for him on the bed. She also had left a note for my friends expressing that she knew they had a trying day (airline problems) so therefore, she had a very nice wicker basket stuffed with all kinds of breakfast items so they wouldn't have to get up in the morning and rush down before breakfast was over. She also left orange juice in the refrigerator for them. My friends and myself were just stunned at the thoughtfulness that this sweet lady had for my friends. We are all in the service industry (airline flight attendants) and were very touched by her gesture. This is service that I wouldn't even expect from a 5-star property. I do hope you will recognize that you have a 'VERY VALUABLE' employee and that you have gained a new customer. I often have people visiting from out-of-town. This will be their 'home away from home' when in the Atlanta area thanks to the kindness of one person. Your hospitality really made an excellent impression on us all. Many thanks.
