Translating Values into Action

When athletes join a sports team, they receive a uniform. Wearing the team colors, the athlete represents a unified whole. When an individual joins the Hotel Equities' team, they are given a pocket-size Commitment Card listing our value statements. The card is a daily reminder of Hotel Equities' values, vision, mission and strategy.

The team metaphor is no accident. According to Hotel Equities' President and CEO Fred Cerrone:

Chaplaincy Program

Hotel Equities further demonstrates concern for associates’ welfare through our Chaplaincy Program. This interdenominational program is an integral component of our corporate culture. Our Chaplain builds relationships and improves communication by actively listening to associates. By supplying this extra support, Hotel Equities enables associates to achieve their personal and professional best.

Associate Incentives

Every Hotel Equities' associate has the opportunity to receive monthly bonuses based on work performance and attention to our three key stakeholders. These bonuses serve not only as incentives, but as goal-setting guidelines.

Hotel Equities also stresses the importance of a balanced lifestyle to its associates. After five years, our general managers are awarded a 90-day paid sabbatical. We understand the demands of hospitality management. Therefore, we reward pivotal team members for loyal service. The sabbatical program is so innovative, The American Hotel Foundation selected it from among 3,500 entries as a “Best Practice Champion.”
